License Agreement

Clear terms for every license type

Dutchicon icons are crafted to give designers and brands clarity and consistency.
To make sure our work is used fairly, we’ve defined clear license types.

Each license explains what’s included, what the limits are, and how you can upgrade if your use goes beyond the standard terms.

Freelancer License

  • Use them in print, web, apps, and other media
  • Make light modifications (color, size, stroke, effects)

The Licensee may apply superficial modifications to the assets, such as adjusting color, size, or adding visual effects, provided that such modifications do not alter the original shapes or proportions.

The Licensee may use up to one hundred (100) icons in a single project, website, or application. The Licensee may use up to twenty (20) icons in digital products for resale, including but not limited to WordPress themes, presentation templates, or other digital templates.

The Licensee may not sell, sublicense, distribute, or otherwise make the assets available to third parties, nor use the assets in any AI or machine learning systems to generate or replicate icons or derivative works.

Each client brand that wishes to continue using the icons independently after project delivery must obtain its own license.

Any use of the assets beyond these limits requires an Extended or Enterprise License, to be obtained separately from Dutchicon.

Enterprise License (Custom solutions)

What you can do

  • Tailored rights for large teams, multi-brand use, or special integrations
  • Unlimited projects within your licensed scope
  • Apply icons in print, web, apps, and software products
  • Make light modifications (color, size, stroke, effects)

Common inclusions

  • Dedicated support & onboarding
  • Unlimited projects & deliverables
  • Clear rights framework for scaling teams and brands

Not allowed

  • Reselling, sublicensing, or redistributing the original icon files
  • Using the icons for AI training or generative use

Options available (on request):

  • Unlimited Inhouse Brand: unlimited users for one brand
  • Multi-brand enterprise rights (more than 5 brands)
  • SaaS / software embedding
  • Large template packs or resale beyond 20 icons
  • Other bespoke needs negotiated per contract

The Enterprise License is a custom, negotiated agreement between Dutchicon and the Licensee. It is intended for organizations whose use cases exceed the limits of the Freelancer, Small Team, Inhouse Brand, or Agency Licenses.

Enterprise coverage may include, but is not limited to:

  • Unlimited inhouse use by one brand (unlimited users)
  • Multiple brands under a single organization, exceeding the agency scope
  • Embedding icons into SaaS products, platforms, or distributed software
  • Use of more than one hundred (100) icons in a single project, website, or app
  • Use of more than twenty (20) icons in templates or digital items for resale
  • Other negotiated rights depending on the organization’s specific needs

The Enterprise License always requires a signed agreement, including pricing, scope, and support conditions. Unless explicitly granted, all general prohibitions of Dutchicon Licenses remain in effect: the assets may not be resold, sublicensed, distributed, or used to train AI or generate derivative works.

Extended License (Beyond limits)

When you need this

  • Using more than 20 icons in a resale template or theme
  • Using more than 100 icons in a single project, website, or application
  • Offering icons as part of a larger digital product (e.g. design systems, UI kits)

How it works

  • Always purchased in addition to a base license
(Freelancer, Small Team, Inhouse, or Agency)
  • Grants extra rights without requiring a full Enterprise deal
  • Price and scope confirmed per request

Not allowed

  • Reselling, sublicensing, or redistributing the original icon files
  • Using the icons for AI training or generative use

The Extended License is an add-on to any existing Dutchicon license. It grants additional rights beyond the limits of the base license, without requiring a full Enterprise agreement.

Typical Extended coverage includes, but is not limited to:

  • Using more than twenty (20) icons in digital products for resale
(e.g. WordPress themes, UI kits, presentation templates)
  • Using more than one hundred (100) icons in a single project, website, or app
  • Bundling icons as part of a larger deliverable, provided they cannot be extracted or reused independently

The Extended License must always be requested and approved by Dutchicon. It does not transfer ownership of the assets, nor does it allow resale or redistribution of the original icon files. All AI-related uses (training, replication, generation) remain strictly prohibited.

Full End User License Agreement (EULA)

Last updated: 12 Nov, 2025

Introduction & Precedence

This End User License Agreement (“EULA”) is the binding legal agreement between the Licensee and Dutchicon.

All marketing materials, product descriptions, FAQs, or sales pages are provided for convenience and clarity only. In the event of any discrepancy or conflict, the terms of this EULA shall prevail.

By purchasing, downloading, or using Dutchicon assets, the Licensee acknowledges that they have read, understood, and agreed to the terms of this EULA.

1. Ownership

All Dutchicon assets remain the exclusive property of Dutchicon. The Licensee is granted rights of use as defined by the selected License. No ownership, copyright, or intellectual property rights are transferred.

2. Grant of License

The Licensee obtains a non-exclusive, non-transferable, non-sublicensable right to use the assets under the terms specified in the chosen License type (Freelancer, Small Team, Inhouse Brand, Agency, Extended Add-on, or Enterprise). A license covers up to the number of users specified in the chosen License. A “user” means an individual actively working with the assets under the Licensee’s control.

3. Permitted Uses

The Licensee may use the assets in line with the permissions of their chosen License, including:

  • Application in print, web, apps, software, video, presentations, and other media
  • Internal or external commercial communication (depending on license type)
  • Superficial modifications (color, size, stroke, effects), provided they do not alter the original shapes or proportions

4. Prohibited Uses

The Licensee may not:

  • Resell, sublicense, distribute, or share the original icon files
  • Permit unlicensed users, teams, or brands to access or use the assets
  • Use the assets in any AI or machine learning system to train, generate, or replicate icons
  • Register the assets as a trademark, logo, or claim exclusive rights
  • Exceed the numerical or contextual limits defined by their License without an Extended or Enterprise License

5. Extended & Enterprise Terms

Any use beyond the standard limits requires a separate Extended or Enterprise agreement. This includes (but is not limited to):

  • SaaS or software embedding
  • Resale beyond 20 icons in templates or themes
  • Use of more than 100 icons in a single project, website, or application
  • Multi-brand or unlimited user rights

These terms are negotiated and confirmed in writing by Dutchicon.

6. Term & Termination

Licenses are valid from the date of purchase and remain active unless terminated. Dutchicon reserves the right to revoke the License in case of breach of these terms. Upon termination, the Licensee must cease all use of the assets and delete any stored copies.

7. Liability

Dutchicon is not liable for damages, losses, or claims arising from use or misuse of the assets. The assets are provided “as is,” without warranty of fitness for a particular purpose. Maximum liability shall not exceed the license fee paid.

8. Governing Law

This Agreement is governed by the laws of The Netherlands. Any disputes shall be resolved in the courts of Rotterdam, The Netherlands, unless otherwise required by mandatory law.

9. Refunds & Digital Delivery

Due to the digital nature of Dutchicon products, purchases are generally non-refundable once the files have been made available for download.
If you experience technical issues, received incomplete files, selected the wrong product or license, or were charged incorrectly, please contact us at info@dutchicon.com and we’ll resolve it as quickly as possible.
Refunds, if applicable, are handled on a case-by-case basis at Dutchicon’s discretion.
