All about iOS Wired
The mission when creating the iOS Wired icon style, originally developed by Apple for the iPhone and iPad interface, was clear from the beginning. Respect the intentions of Apple’s user interface design team and take the style to a higher level. There are a lot of similarities between the iOS style by Apple and our very own Gizmo style in terms of pixel grid, design solutions and openness. The main difference is the thickness of the lines. The thin lines of iOS Wired make it very useful to design even complex subject matters. At the same time that is the biggest pitfall for a lot of designers; cramming in too many details just because you can. To achieve the open and perhaps modest character of the icon style we stayed far away from complexities and simplified the hell out of it. iOS Wired is pixel perfect at multiples of 64 x 64 pixels.
